Garrett Motion Inc. (GTX) designs, manufactures, and sells turbochargers, electric boosting systems, air and fluid compression technologies, high-speed electric motors, and connected vehicle solutions for automotive, commercial vehicle, and industrial applications. The company offers a comprehensive portfolio of products including gasoline and diesel wastegate turbochargers; variable geometry turbochargers (VNT) such as split compression VNT for gasoline engines and DutyDrive VNT for trucks and buses; dual-stage serial and parallel turbochargers; electric turbos (E-Turbo); electric compressors including two-stage, 48V mild hybrid, and E-Cooling variants; fuel cell compressors; 3-in-1 E-powertrains; and onboard vehicle cybersecurity software with diagnostic tools and fleet early warning systems. These solutions target original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in light vehicles, heavy-duty trucks, construction machinery, motorsports, and emerging zero-emission mobility sectors, with over 130 million Garrett turbos in global use. Founded in 1954 as part of Garrett AiResearch's Industrial Division in Phoenix, Arizona, and spun off from Honeywell International Inc. in 2018 as an independent publicly traded company, Garrett Motion maintains corporate headquarters in Rolle, Switzerland, with global manufacturing and operations spanning North America, Europe, Asia, and other regions. The company emerged from a Chapter 11 restructuring in April 2021 backed by KPS Capital Partners, raising $1.3 billion in equity to strengthen its balance sheet. In recent developments, Garrett Motion refinanced its credit facilities in January 2025, replacing a $692 million term loan with a new facility maturing in 2032 and upsizing its revolver to $630 million maturing in 2030, while maintaining $725 million in liquidity as of year-end 2024. The company secured partnerships for e-powertrain development in light and heavy trucks by 2027, earned the 2024 Stellantis Innovation Award for zero-emission technologies, and validated OEM applications for its 3-in-1 E-powertrain, refrigerant compression, and fuel cell compressors. Additionally, Garrett announced a $250 million share repurchase program effective January 2026 following the current program's expiration, aligning with its strategy to return 75% of adjusted free cash flow to shareholders amid raised 2025 revenue guidance of $3.5 billion to $3.6 billion driven by turbo wins and zero-emission progress.
